Like attracts like. This law is applied throughout the universe, including the forces that hold atoms together, the gravitational pull that forms galaxies, and the attraction between living beings.
At fundamental level positively charged protons in the nucleus are attracted to negatively charged electrons. Without this force, atoms would not exist.
Similarly, the gravitational pull between hydrogen atoms eventually leads to the formation of stars. Without this attraction, the universe as we know it would not exist.
Plants and other life forms are attracted to sunlight - providing the energy they need to survive. Without this attraction, life on earth would not be possible as we know it.
The attraction between sperm and an egg is necessary for reproduction and the continuation of a species. The attraction between individuals is also essential for social relationships and the formation of families.
Without these fundamental forces of attraction, the universe and life on earth would be vastly different or possibly non-existent.
